Opening of Borders Costa Rica/United States

We are pleased to announce the new entry guidelines issued by the Costa Rican Government:
- Starting October 15th, 2020, in addition to the already approved states from the United States of America, residents of Florida, Texas and Georgia will be admitted into Costa Rica as tourists. The traveler must prove residence in one of the aforementioned states through their driver's license or State ID.
- Starting November 1st, 2020, residents from ALL States of the United States of America will be admitted into Costa Rica as tourists.
- The following entry rules still apply: a) PCR COVID test taken at least 72 hours to boarding; b) international travel insurance or a Costa Rican private insurance with coverage for the full duration of the stay to cover any medical need the tourist may have; c) Completing the epidemiological digital inquiry form, called “Health Pass Form”, (available at https://salud.go.cr/)
